
This Day in NY Sports: Knicks draft Patrick Ewing
In 1985, the New York Knicks selected Patrick Wing with the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Ewing would go on to play 15 seasons of his hall of fame career with New York, which led to him getting his number 33 retired by the franchise.
