Toni Storm Eyes Up The AEW Women’s Title On Dynamite

Toni Storm eyes up the AEW Women’s World Champions on the June 8 episode of Dynamite after she came to the aide of the current champion Thunder Rosa.

Rosa issued an open challenge earlier in the day. She said she preferred someone from the top five of the women’s rankings to step up but she was open to anyone. The number five positioned Marina Shafir answered the challenge.

The two women would fight on tonight’s Dynamite with the championship on the line. Rosa would go on to retain after countering a move from Shafir and rolling through to pin her to the mat.

Post-match, Shafir was not happy at all about her loss as she attacked the champion locking in a submission. Toni Storm came rushing down to the ring to save Rosa and take out Shafir. After coming down to do what she intended to do, Storm would pick up the championship belt and hold it before Rosa would yank it out of her hand.

Storm is currently sitting at number four on the current women’s rankings.

The match for June 10 Rampage will have Red Velvet take on Kris Statlander. The Baddies and the TBS Champion Jade Cargill continue to have issues with Statlander as she has recently helped Athena and Anna Jay.
